What if we could predict a neurodegenerative disease before it happens?
I am a PhD student in Neurosciences co-mentored by Pr. Arnulf and Pr. Vidailhet at the Paris Brain institute, and Umar Saleem at Bioserenity. I did my Master degree at Claude Bernard Lyon 1 university and an internship at the Sleep Department of Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris.
Today, I am interested in neurodegenerative diseases that are associated with a common sleep disorder: REM Behavior Disorder (RBD). I focus on studying the predictability of alpha-synucleinopathy such as Parkinson’s disease, Lewy Body Dementia or Multisystem atrophy from RBD. Bioserenity, a French startup specialized in data science, is essential in this study with real world applications.
The main objective of this work is to be able to predict a neurodegenerative disease and set up a neuroprotection of patients before the diagnosis of the disease using novel analytical approaches such as AI or neural networks.
